Book your full-day intensive with me. During each full day intensive you can experience dynamic changes that have course corrected and brought people back to being fully alive and comfortable in their world again.

Meaning Focused EMDR can help you answer these questions.

Psychologist Viktor Frankl’s life’s work was developing his counseling model called logotherapy – or “meaning therapy.”

Viktor was a survivor of one of the most horrible events in the span of human history – the Holocaust.

He developed a theory about counseling and tested this theory while he was tortured as a prisoner of war in the concentration camps.

Essentially Viktor shows us a portrait of healing through our choice to take an attitude of dignity, even in the face of extreme horror. He identified that a search for meaning is the most important drive in a human.

Viktor was a brilliant man who spoke to our world through his excruciating suffering after surviving three years in concentration camps as outlined in his influential book A Man’s Search for Meaning.

Meaning Focused EMDR is a unique method for healing body and mind.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the only evidence-based treatments used for treating PTSD, addictions, anxiety, and depression.

More and more discoveries are being made about how EMDR helps treat different mental health issues.

EMDR is truly a powerful cutting edge method of healing the human brain.

Yes, you read that correctly!

There are research projects that have demonstrated that people who have a formal diagnosis of PTSD have literally regrown portions of their brain, namely the hippocampus has been observed to have increased in size by 10 to 20%, after completing EMDR treatment.

I became trained in EMDR immediately after discovering how powerful it is in helping resolve emotional trauma.

In a nut shell, EMDR serves as an emotional laxative! It seems funny, but it is true.

We get stuck in a pattern of unwanted emotional responses.

This is traditionally understood as a response to trauma.

Your body goes into fight flight or freeze response, but sometimes your brain never figures out how to stop fighting flighting or freezing. That is basically what PTSD is.

You don’t have to have full-on PTSD to have this problem. Humans can get stuck in unwanted emotional responses from all sorts of things. EMDR helps flush out emotional trauma – the search for meaning helps to define a life worth living.

We find courage to continue to live in the face of even the most extreme difficulty.

You will make amazing discoveries about yourself as you are guided through the healing process of Meaning Focused EMDR.

We’ll identify the problem emotions, and the memories they are attached to.

You’ll be provided resources that really help you calm down when you’re feeling overwhelmed or triggered.

Three of these tools are: “calm safe place,” “Container,” and “light stream.” You’ll learn methods and strategies to calm yourself down during and in-between our sessions.

As your brain reprocesses, we’ll identify better more positive thoughts that you would rather think about yourself such as “I am safe now,” or “I was only 5, and that was not my fault!”

As we finish processing all those memories, we’ll start to develop a future template of yourself that you want.

We’ll strengthen this and develop meaningful purposeful goals around your desired future self.

Meaning Focused EMDR can give you the healing you need.

I’ve successfully used this treatment modality for five years now, with children, teens and adults. So many people regain control of their lives and emotions.
